Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Select Katie Nelsons You Are...

The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity will feature Christian singer-songwriter Katie Nelson's8217;s version of 's8220;You Are The Water's8221; as their June song of the month. It will be available throughout June as a free download on the Franciscanized World page of htpp://www.fscc-calledtobe.org.



Each month the page features a new song and image for spiritual reflection, designed to invite participation and reflection from visitors, in particular young women discerning their call in life. 's8220;Seeing the world as Saints Francis and Clare did - realistically, compassionately, finding good and holy possibility in the substance and culture of everyday life. 's8220;



's8220;You Are The Water's8221;, taken from Katie Nelson's8217;s 's8220;Do You Really Know Him's8221; CD. is one her favorites. Nelson enthused that 's8220;'s8230;I love this song so much. Every time I sing it I honestly picture a steady stream of sparkling water being dumped into my soul.'s8221;



Talking to our current and prospective candidates in their 20's8217;s, we wanted to know the best way to reach young women interested in knowing more about us, and possibly joining us,'s8221; Sr. Julie Ann said. 's8220;We want to present our life as a viable option. Personal invitation is always best; however, we became convinced that real conversations can begin by using the language of images and music.'s8221;
