"While we love the iPhone and its Google Maps application, we still found ourselves printing directions from Google when in a hurry. Why Because there wasn't a fast way to get that address and map to our iPhones," says David DeMember of Design is Fuel. "So we developed iPhoneSender, a model of simplicity."
The software makes it easy to send a Google Maps link to an iPhone, simply by highlighting an address, right-clicking and selecting "Send Map Link to iPhone". The link is sent automatically
to a chosen email address, ready to be used on the go. iPhoneSender converts that address into a link that will launch the Google Map application on your iPhone. In Safari, it works as a bookmarklet, hovering at all times on the toolbar.
iPhoneSender (a FREE download online at http://www.iPhoneSender.com) works with both Safari (Ver. 2.0+) and Firefox (Ver 2.0+). The extension works on any Mac OS and Windows machine with these browsers. On the web site, installing iPhoneSender is a simple process, with ready help pages and easy-to-follow instructions.
"iPhoneSender is a classic representation of what we, at Design is Fuel, love to do," says DeMember. "We spot a need for something in the market, and we work towards filling that need both practically and aesthetically."
