Upon announcing its plans to sell most of its recreational vehicle business to Warren Buffet'ss Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. the Coachmen Industries, Inc. saw the highest rise in New York trading for the past 28 years. The terms of the sale are undisclosed.

Earlier in the day the stock experienced a jump of as much as 126%; the biggest increase in intraday trading since at least 1980 according to Bloomberg data.

Coachmen Industries, Inc. is the maker of Viking travel trailers and manufactured houses and the executive level sees the announcement as an end to the speculation on the company'ss ability to outlast the current economic strain.
