Vitech Inaugural United Way Campaign a Success

Vitech Corporation has conducted a successful inaugural campaign in support the United Way of Montgomery, Radford and Floyd (UWMRF) and will be donating over $3,000 to various community agencies across the country.

Vitech, the developer of CORE - a systems engineering and program management tool - is located in Blacksburg, Virginia at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, with distributed offices across the country. They are committed to making a difference, not only for their customers, but for those in need in communities in which their team members live and work.

Participating as a 'sFirst and Goal's member in the 2008 United Way Campaign was perfectly suited for our corporate structure, stated David A. Long, President of Vitech. With offices located across the county, the United Way campaign provided an excellent opportunity for our team members to give back, right in their own communities.

Vitech kicked of their campaign with a company challenge for participation, monetary donations and volunteer hours. Half of the company participated and will provide close to 50 hours of volunteer time and more than $3,000 in donations to help those in need in states such as Virginia, Texas, Maryland and Utah. In addition, those located in the Blacksburg office supported the Food Chain Challenge from United Way, donating canned food and dry goods to help stock the local food pantry. It is Vitech'ss intent to continue to support United Way throughout the year, to give back to the communities and individuals needing assistance.
