Award Winning 118 Directory Enquiries Best 118 Newcomer Award 2005 is Announced


This year's prestigious 118 Awards were held at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester City Centre. Hosted by the very funny Gina Yashere the best directory enquiries services in the world have been rightly rewarded. This year's Award entrants were treated to a champagne reception and mouth watering five course meal at Manchester's first five star hotel.

Entering a competitive market is a challenge in itself; entering a directory enquiries market that already has over 140 services available is also very brave.

This Award is open to directory assistance services that have launched during the last year. Judges looked for evidence of design & innovation, availability & usability, and financial performance.
