This year's prestigious 118 Awards were held at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester City Centre. Hosted by the very funny Gina Yashere the best directory enquiries services in the world have been rightly rewarded. This year's Award entrants were treated to a champagne reception and mouth watering five course meal at Manchester's first five star hotel.

The Best European Service gave evidence of their ongoing mission to deliver excellence to both the callers and to their own staff. The Best European Service Award was presented by James Glasspool from Volt Delta at this year's International Directory Enquiries Conference & Awards Ceremony in Manchester City Centre UK.

"This Award seeks to recognize the services provided throughout Europe and identify one organization that stands out from the rest. The nominations in this category demonstrate that they recognize their customers' and employees' requirements and deliver a first class service." commented Mr. Glasspool.

This year's final nominations for the Best European Service Award were:

The Awards judging panel was made up of experts in the market place and included representatives from The Pierz Group, Thomson Directories, Performance House, Lindley Consulting, Scansoft, Performix Technologies, Telecommunications Users Association, Volt Delta and 118tracker.com.
