The winner of the Directory Enquiries Innovation Award 2005 has been announced.



This year's prestigious 118 awards were held at The Lowry Hotel Manchester City Centre. Hosted by the very funny Gina Yashere the best directory enquiries services in the world have been rightly rewarded. This year's award entrants were treated to a champagne reception and mouth watering five course meal at Manchester's first five star hotel.



"This award was open to both Directory Services and suppliers of additional services to the industry, be that; data, technology, people, or consultancy. What was important was that it demonstrated innovation that encouraged the industry to look beyond the simplicities of providing numbers. This was a very difficult category to judge as each of the nominees show great innovation in they're own right," commented Geoff Williamson of Eircom, sponsor and presenter of this year's Innovation Award.
