Carolinas Wireless Association Launch Event Was Huge Success

The Carolinas Wireless Association celebrated the launch of the organization in Pinehurst on October 27-28, 2005. Over 170 members of all sectors of the wireless industry enjoyed a mixer on Thursday evening followed by informational meetings, lunch and golf on Friday. Keynote Speaker Mike Fitch, President & CEO of the PCIA (The Wireless Infrastructure Association), engaged the crowd with ideas for advancing industry interests through industry advocacy activities and best practices models.

"The Board is so excited by the tremendous turnout at this event," said Brian Hurley, President of the Carolinas Wireless Association. "In less than four months, our association is more than 250 members strong, which is evidence of the need of this type of organization in the Carolinas region."

Attendees to the event formed committees to support the organization, and members began planning programming and information sharing for the future of the organization. To join the Carolinas Wireless Association, visit www.carolinaswirelessassociation.com.
