Endeavor Telecom, The Telecom Truck Roll Company for carriers, service providers, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, today announced the Contactor Support Initiative, which is an amalgamation of several recent and forthcoming programs enacted to increase the efficiency with which Field Engineers perform installation and maintenance dispatches for Endeavor.
One service that has been rolled out to Endeavor'ss field force allows technicians with certain mobile phone providers to communicate more easily and affordably with Endeavor. Through
Endeavor'ss partnership with AT's38;T and Verizon, technicians who have either as their mobile provider are able to call into Endeavor'ss operations center free of charge. Additionally,
Endeavor has provided a way for technicians who use T-Mobile, Alltel, and MetroPCS as their mobile carrier to call without using plan minutes. Since technicians frequently call in to
Endeavor - to log on and review scope of work upon arriving at sites, verify all work is completed per customer specifications prior to departure, and for tech support if any onsite
problems are encountered - this program will prove particularly cost effective. The ability to call in without worrying about how many minutes are available for that month and the
financial implications associated with overages will allow Endeavor field engineers to do what they do best: represent Endeavor customers onsite to their end-users.
Another initiative recently announced will allow for Endeavor'ss network of 9,000+ individually managed contractors to receive comprehensive and affordable insurance. A requirement for
all potential contractors seeking to perform field service dispatches for Endeavor is general liability insurance coverage which would cover any incidents related to injury, damage, or
medical expenses. Finding affordable coverage from a reputable provider can be a difficult obstacle in the current economy, so Endeavor has partnered with TechInsurance, who specializes
in providing inexpensive and all-inclusive insurance coverage for individuals and companies in IT related industries. Through TechInsurance, current or prospective technicians are able to
procure the required coverage that will keep them safe and provide peace of mind for their families without breaking the bank.
In addition to programs that help reduce technicians's costs, Endeavor is working to implement programs to improve efficiency for technicians as well. One new feature that has been
developed will enable contracted technicians to perform all invoicing online via the Endeavor Service Portal (ESP). Traditionally, Endeavor has had contractors submit paper invoices
through the mail, but the new online tool will allow this to be completed online, eliminating the paperwork, time, and materials required for preparing, printing, and sending them out.
Endeavor technicians will find another useful resource online through the Endeavor Training Center. This online training tool, which facilitates the ongoing training and certification of
Endeavor'ss staff and field engineers, has recently been upgraded to include enhanced multimedia functions and more comprehensive testing and reporting functions. Technicians are assigned
log in credentials and are able to log in at any time to complete training modules that pertain specific dispatch or technology types. This will guarantee the continuous development of
technicians's knowledge base as new technologies emerge and Endeavor takes on more projects with specialized scopes of work that may involve non-traditional network devices. Not only will
this ensure high quality performance onsite but also provide technicians with the skills and experience to continue their success within the industry.
Since inception, Endeavor has been entirely dedicated to meeting its clients's needs and providing a positive work environment for its staff. Even though Endeavor'ss variable workforce
element is a significant component of the services it delivers, we sometimes forget the specific challenges our contractors face that internal staff do not., says Justin McLain,
Endeavor'ss Chief Executive Officer. As we focus on improving all aspects of our business, improving the subcontractor experience as well as the administrative expense in managing them
are top priorities. The items announced in this release are just the start of that will be a continual systemic improvement process.
