On Friday, July 14th, 2006, Jim Trenton'ss 's8220;Poorman's8217;s Bikini Beach's8221; TV show (KJLA TV) and Hollywood Park Racetrack will present The Bikini Mile.

The Bikini Mile is a race that takes place between horse races at Hollywood Park featuring 14 gorgeous girls in bikinis in a 's8220;one mile's8221; foot race around the racetrack.

The Bikini Mile is conducted in a similar fashion as the regular horse race program at the track. The girls are numbered and post paraded with escorts, loaded into the starting gate, and then launched from the gate in a 's8220;full on's8221; race around the track to the finish line down the Hollywood Park home stretch.

After the race, there is a winner's8217;s circle ceremony. The track announcer calls the action as in any other race.

All entrants receive $150, flowers, and swimwear as well as a cash purse and trophies for the top three finishers in The Bikini Mile.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Bikini Mile Qualifying (Friday, July 7th)
All potential entrants are timed in qualifying races in their bikinis. Applicants are judged using three criteria: looks, personality, and speed.

Post Position Draw (Wednesday, July 12th)
All entrants gather at Hollywood Park and draw starting gate post positions. This is accompanied by the presentation and modeling of each entrant's8217;s bikini racing 's8220;silks's8221;.

The Bikini Mile (Friday, July 14th)

Awards Ceremony After The Races (Friday, July 14th)
At the conclusion of the race program, there is an awards ceremony and celebration in the Hollywood Park Bar hosted by The Poorman and The Bikini Mile competitors. All the entrants and winners are presented their cash and prizes at that time.
