Through USATODAY.com voters viewed and selected "The Dark Knight" from among thirteen Golden Trailer Award-winners announced on May 8th, when "The Movie Preview Awards" show was taped at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
In the May 8th ballots, Intralink had nabbed Best Action Trailer for "The Dark Knight," along with the Best Romance Trailer award for Focus Features' "Atonement," and a further award, announced online, for Best Summer 2008 Blockbuster Poster for "The Dark Knight."
The winning editor of the 2008 Trailer of the Year award, Intralink's John Ibsen, will receive a pair of round-trip tickets valid anywhere in the continental United States from Jet Blue Airlines, the official airline of the Movie Preview Awards.

Created in 1999 to celebrate the art, craft and fun of movie promotion, The Golden Trailer Awards have established themselves as the top prize in the field, coveted by trailer producers, and watched carefully by studio heads and marketing decision-makers in the industry. But, while the awards are serious business for the winners, for the rest of us they are just plain fun--movie audiences have always loved trailers, but in recent years they have exploded as a favorite form of entertainment, ranking as the #3 category of over 10 billion videos viewed online in the U.S. each year.
