In the wake of the narrow passing of Proposition 8 in California, which rebuked the recent, hard won rights of same sex couples to marry, a Pixie named Minna appears to inspire the faithful to continue the peaceful fight for equality!
In the tradition of John Lennon'ss Give Peace a Chance, and Quincy Jones's We are the World, Minna'ss song Love Shines emerges in a similar time of local and international discord. Love
Shines is an anthem that fires a beacon of equality, hope, love and peace around the world. On November 24, 2008, Love Shines will be available free for download via MP3 file to 50
Million music lovers around the world, exclusively at: http://www.pixierevolution.com/
Commenting on Love Shines, Minna says, This song is my heart. It represents hope for the future, and a world where all of humanity are treated fairly and equally. This song was inspired
in California by the civil rights struggle of same sex couples to marry, and also by my lesbian aunties in San Francisco. Please enjoy!
About Minna
As an advertising executive with a top London firm, Minna was responsible for bringing new business into the agency. Successful yet miserable, Minna had long since given up her own
musical dreams of childhood. But the dream lingered deep insider her, and was only awakened after Minna suffered horrendous burns on her legs. A top burns doctor wrapped her legs,
declared that she would need extensive skin grafts, and told her to go home and lie down for 3 weeks. Minna realized she didn'st want to die with her music 'strapped inside her's and
began to sing again.
When the doctor removed her bandages, he saw a miracle. Her skin had started to grow back. She would not need skin grafts. Since then Minna has not stopped singing. She quit her
high-powered job in London, pulled up stakes and moved to Los Angeles. Minna has been dubbed the New Annie Lennox and Kylie Minogue with a Message.
