Royal Crown Revue appears on Gene Simmons Family Jewels

Gangster big band Royal Crown Revue will appear on three brand new episodes of Gene Simmons' much ballyhooed reality show, "Family Jewels", starting this week on the A&E Network.

These episodes of "Family Jewels" find Simmons headed to Las Vegas, where he steps out from his role as KISS lead singer to front a full-scale rhythm and blues big band revue. For his first venture into the world of big band, Simmons tapped as musical collaborators Royal Crown Revue, a group known for its embodiment of classic American style and sound. Having worked with KISS back in 1996, RCR was the obvious choice for providing the authentic "Rat Pack" sound and spirit that Gene's Vegas venture would need.

According to Royal Crown Revue front man Eddie Nichols, "The episodes document the recording session and Las Vegas concert that we did last fall with the legendary Mr. Simmons. Although I haven't seen any of the finished product, I can guarantee that this oughta be well worth watching."

Airings for Royal Crown Revue and Family Jewels are Tuesday, March 25 (double episode) and Tuesday, April 1 (single episode).
