Oregon Scientific Names Fleckner National Sales Manager



March 18, 2005 -- William R. Fleckner, 42, has been named National Sales Manager at Oregon Scientific, Inc. for the company's electronic learning and teen electronics products group, it was announced today by Bill Uzell, Executive Vice President of the division.
   
Fleckner will be responsible for national distribution to key accounts, specialty, and alternative retail initiatives. Based out of the Westborough, Massachusetts office, Fleckner will also manage the administration of the company's national sales force and report to Steve Jackson, Vice President of Sales.
   
"We are excited to have Bill as National Sales Manager for the division," Jackson said. "His experience in the video game and electronics industries is a tremendous asset to our team and he will play a vital role for the company's continued growth in the toy and education categories as well as the new Oregon Scientific electronic product line extensions."
   
In addition to the company's cornerstone Barbie's61652; and Hot Wheels's61652; branded licensed electronic learning products, and the new Batman's61652; licensed products, Fleckner will also concentrate sales efforts on the introduction of the exciting, new Oregon Scientific helmet cam, digital movie studio and eLocket digital photo album products.
   
Fleckner arrives at Oregon Scientific with more than 20 years of consumer electronics sales experience. He is the former Regional Sales Director of Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. and Director of National Sales for video game and PC product marketer, BAM! Entertainment. Fleckner also held Sales Director positions at Color Kinetics, Inc., and Infogrames (Atari), Inc., where he was an integral part in managing the merger of the GT Interactive and Infogrames North America sales forces.
   
Before moving on to Northeast Regional Sales Director and Canadian Sales Director at SEGA of America, Fleckner began his career in electronic sales at Sony Corporation of America.
   
A graduate of St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY with a BA in Political Science, Bill is a former tennis professional, an avid skier, and coaches youth baseball. He resides in Weston, MA with his wife and three children.
