HL Games Expands Down Under



Board game publisher HL Games USA Limited has signed an international distribution agreement with Even Toys and Games for distribution in both Australia and New Zealand for its Mensa Select award winning word game, AmuseAmaze.

"We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Even Toys and Games," said Graeme Thomson, director of HL Games. "This represents the beginning of a robust global growth strategy for our company. We're starting to do internationally what our board games have been doing nationally in the United States - expand both demographically and geographically."

In the past nine months AmuseAmaze has garnered 11 awards across the spectrum of age ranges and specialist interests. Most recently these have included a Game of the Year award from Creative Child Magazine, inclusion in the National Association of Gifted Children's forthcoming Recommended Toys, as well as being a prize for the finalists in the AARP Magazine's Senior Spelling Bee. The game has headlined at such diverse venues as educational conferences and at Origins - the serious hobby gamers convention in Columbus, Ohio.
