CBS 2 Partners With Transit TV to Bring News Sports and Weather to...

CBS 2 Chicago has partnered with Transit TV, one of the largest out-of-home video networks in North America. CBS 2 will provide local news, weather, sports and entertainment programming to Suburban Chicago Pace bus riders.

Starting this month, over 650,000 weekly Suburban Chicago Pace bus riders will be able to watch CBS 2'ss award-winning local programming as they commute to and from work. The Pace transit system covers 3,500 square miles of the Chicago suburbs including Lake, McHenry, Kane, Cook, DuPage and Will counties. Transit TV'ss wireless network will enable the programming to be updated throughout the day; ensuring riders receive the latest news, weather and sports.

Transit TV'ss network offers us a unique way to expose our station'ss brand and promote our programming to as many people as possible, said Bruno Cohen, President and General Manager of CBS 2.

The partnership with Transit TV is another example of traditional media companies and advertisers utilizing out-of-home video environments to reach new audiences. News content provided by CBS 2 will be seen by Transit TV'ss young, urban audience daily during the weekly commute.

The addition of local news content in Chicago expands our commitment to provide the Transit TV viewer with engaging, relevant and cutting edge programming, said Jeff Hartlieb Director of Content and Programming of Transit TV.

Transit TV'ss screens provide Chicago bus riders with 48 minutes of programming every hour. The partnership will see 5 minutes of the hourly content wheel provided by CBS 2.
