IHB Reduces Interline Settlement Claims 90 Percent by Switching toShipXpress...



Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad (IHB), is the largest switch carrier in the United States, exchanging daily with 16 other rail carriers. Based in Hammond, IN, IHB operates in the greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana area implemented the ShipXpress RailSync's174; Concur freight revenue management system in January 2009.



ShipXpress was very open to enhancing Concur to meet our needs, said Michael Rader, IHB'ss Senior Director of Revenue Accounting. With the implementation of the Concur system, we realized a 90% reduction in 1st quarter claims as compared to last year 1st quarter figures.



RailSync Concur is a web-based application that interfaces with Railinc'ss Interline Settlement System (ISS), the rail industry'ss processing hub that facilitates the electronic exchange of freight settlement between interline railroads.
