Shareyourflight.com the online forum which connects aircraft operators traveling with empty seats to traveler's wishing to utilize those seats on a "cost share basis", proudly announces that their pilots now have the option to make their flights available to the Veterans Airlift Command as a donation.
"We are pleased to be able to offer our pilots the ability to help our brave veterans connect with their families in times of need" says James Tomaszewski, president of
Shareyourflight.com. "Pilot's flight listings will still be available to all of our users in hopes of sharing expenses also." Certain expenses incurred during flights for charitable
organizations may be tax deductable.
"Wounded warriors nationwide who need to reconnect with their "world" are sometimes best treated by flying them home in a private aircraft, point to point, rather than by commercial air,"
notes Walt Fricke, Airboss and Founder of the Minneapolis based Veterans Airlift Command. "Our volunteers provide that service as a 'thank you' to the troops and their families for their
sacrifice on our behalf. By partnering with Shareyourflight.com the VAC can more effectively cover it's mission with the expanded network of available seats and the generous contribution
of those Shareyourflight.com pilots who agree to make these seats available."
Shareyourflight.com provides an online forum where aircraft owners and renters can help offset the high costs of flying by listing available seats to share on the flights they already
plan to make. Members can view these seats, contact the pilots, and share in the flight costs on a pro rata basis. Pilots are not considered commercial operators. For additional

The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of
volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. For additional information, please visit www.veteransairlift.org.
