Coordinated by the award-winning Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF), an independent jury selected the roster of artists, which includes both nationally and regionally recognized professionals, based solely on the artistic excellence of their original, handcrafted works. The art show, August 15-17, 2008, is open to the public and will feature artists in 13 different media categories including: ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metal-works, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood. CCAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to educating and exposing Coloradans to the arts. CCAF produces its signature festival during July 4th weekend, which is attended by more than 350,000 visitors annually.
"The 2008 panel of jurors did an outstanding job of selecting a diverse group of artists representing high-quality works in 13 categories of visual arts," said Terry Adams, CCAF executive director. "The attending festival patrons are sure to experience a spectacular outdoor gallery of fine art that will no doubt inspire purchases for their own personal collections."
Bringing together culinary experts from a variety of cuisines as well as both renowned and emerging visual artists from across the United States, TFA will play host to more than 7,000 local and regional visitors, as well as guests from as far away as New York, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco. In addition to the annual art show, highlights of the 2008 Festival will include celebrity chef demonstrations, food seminars, a progressive tasting series and a grand tasting.
