She has been a restaurant critic, chef interviewer and food writer for national and regional newspapers and magazines for the past 12 years. She is a restaurant consultant and writer of six books including Starting and Running a Restaurant for Dummies and Starting and Running a Catering Business. She edits Savour, The Guild of Food Writers' publication, teaches chefs in Eastern Europe lighter styles of food and plays an erratic violin in a London orchestra.
