A Northern Massachusetts Man Auctions Off Kitchen and Wheelchair for Publicity
May 12, 2005 -- Like Brian Donovan has said before, he is willing to do whatever it takes to promote an idea he had back in the summer of 2004 while watching a Boston Red Sox Game, where the goal is to drive a power wheelchair from Massachusetts to California. Its called The Mass-Cal Project.
Brian is willing to advertise on the back of his wheelchair for 30 days (1 month), as well as an ad on his wheelchair he has come to the conclusion that because he had poor construction done to his house and his contractor being a deadbeat, he will auction off the rights to name his kitchen, for 1 year.
What the winning bidder is offered is ad space on the back of a manual wheelchair, the size is 13" x 13" and no matter how much someone says they don't stair at a wheelchair they always take a glance. Along with that my kitchen will be redone and the winner will get to display their logo on a 10' wall as well as a tile with their logo at my front door.
The money made from this auction will go into the repairs in the kitchen and any money left over will be funneled back into The Mass-Cal Project. Also offered to the winner is a link on the website
www.themasscalproject.com
There has been a large amount of attention of the online auction site lately Golden Palace.com has made headlines buy purchasing different items, most recently Britney Spears pregnancy kit as well as ad space on my power wheelchair when I did a road trip in March where I traveled 20 miles from North Andover Massachusetts to Salisbury Massachusetts.
I believe that this auction will get a lot of attention and I am always looking for new ways I can promote The Mass-Cal Project.
