New Hurricane Resource Site Launches Online at SpaceBagcom Hurricane

The 2005 Atlantic hurricane season has opened with strong storm activity, and hurricane experts from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predict that the rest of the season will continue to be challenging for the Atlantic and Gulf states.

The forecast is for 15 Named Storms, eight of which would qualify as Hurricanes and four of which would be considered Intense or Major Hurricanes (Category 3 or higher). Residents of and visitors to storm-vulnerable areas are encouraged to be prepared throughout the season, which runs each year June 1 through November 30.

A new online resource can help: www.SpaceBag.com/hurricane. The site includes a comprehensive hurricane preparedness checklist, tips from storm survivors, and links to other hurricane-related Web sites including the NOAA, The Weather Channel and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Website is a public service of ITW Space Bag, makers of Space Bag products. Space Bag vacuum-seal storage packs and Space Bag Space are storm-tested storage accessories to organize and protect disaster kit supplies as well as clothing and household items.

Space Bag products are sold through more than 10,000 retailers and are available online at www.spacebag.com or by calling toll-free, (800) 214-6102.
