Carl Rogers announces his intended publication of "Pictures of Highway Shields: Kentucky!", in conjunction with Lulu (http://www.lulu.com/calrog-bookstore .
"I've had the opportunity to visit Kentucky twice over the past year," states Rogers. "It is certainly a change of contrast for an urban-dweller to enter the rugged, rural landscape of
Kentucky. The state takes great pride in maintaining its intricate and well-developed road system. It's a system so intricate and expansive that you can find state highways with
four-digit designations. For a book to cover many of Kentucky's State, Federal, and Interstate highways, a little extra time was needed to put this book together. The target of an early
October release just couldn't be met."
When asked when the book would be released, Rogers said, "October 27 is the updated target. Admittedly, part of this delay is due to another Calrog.com project--on Japanese
superhighways--that involves extensive research and development for our Worldwide Highway Library. The folks at Lulu Publishing have been extremely flexible in terms of when this book
will be published; we're pleased to have them as the publisher of all Calrog.com travel guides."
