Where is the most fun place on the planet to experience Halloween Tofino, BC. So says local yoga instructor and avid surfer Eoin Finn. Some people don t get what the Halloween hype is all
about, but the ones who do really do chuckles Finn.
What makes Halloween in Tofino so special It s a slower time in a resort community filled with artistic, free-spirited people, who have a little extra time on their hands to make up some
fun costumes
Finn will share his love of Halloween, as well as his expertise in yoga and passion for surfing with others at the upcoming four day YES (Yoga Ecology Surf) retreat this October 27 to
30.
Finn created the YES experience years ago from a deep conviction that the experience of yoga is so much larger than the commonly held Western view of yoga being simply a form of physical
fitness and flexibility training, practiced in relative anonymity in a closed room, followed by a walk home on concrete.
The word yoga means union in the ancient language of Sanskrit, continues Finn, so it is only natural that this would mean connecting deeply with nature.
Besides experiencing daily yoga classes, the YES retreat goers will learn how to surf with Surf Sister, participate in blissology (philosophy discussions), relax with massage and body
work and learn about the local marine biology, all the while enjoying the scenic beauty of Vancouver Island s West Coast. Of course, they will also find time to create Halloween costumes.
The retreat will feature fresh, organic food by Milagro Retreats. Delicious, fresh and healthy food is a key part of the YES experience, notes Finn. At this moment it is either growing at
Milagro s Cowichan Valley farm or swimming in the Pacific!
The cost for this Fall's YES retreat is $575 per person including organic food, yoga, blissology and accommodation at the beach-front Tin Wis Resort on Mackenzie Beach in Tofino, BC.
