Ecotronics, the maker of the IP telephony client Kapanga, announced today the release of its Android-version of Kapanga Softphone software to the 2009 Google'ss Android Developer Challenge.
The current Kapanga for Android client supports inbound and outbound voice-over-IP calls. Future functionality includes video and T.38 fax calls as well as integration with special
functionality found in Android-based Google phones.
We continue to invest development energy in platforms we enjoy Martin Cadirola, President and VP of Business Development for Ecotronics states. The Android version of our Kapanga client
was a no-brainer in terms of a target platform, because we are strong believers in the future of Google ubiquity and next-generation applications of IP telephony for mobile broadband
networks across the globe.
The Kapanga for Android client has been tested independently with a leading U.S.-based IP telephony service provider and T-mobile phones distributed in the United States.
