Noted LASIK Surgeon John Kung Joins Campus Eye Group in Hamilton

John Kung, MD, a highly respected New Jersey-based ophthalmologist, has joined Campus Eye Group, a multi-specialty interdisciplinary eye care practice in Hamilton, New Jersey.



Dr. Kung serves as the medical director of the Academic Eye Center in New Jersey and Staten Island Ophthalmology in New York. He has performed thousands of LASIK laser vision correction procedures since the surgery was first FDA-approved, and has taught the procedure to new doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, NY.



Dr. Kung is certified on multiple laser platforms including the NASA-certified LADARVision system available at Campus Eye Group.



Board-certified in Ophthalmology and certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Kung specializes in corneal refractive surgery. He is well known for his research in the field of laser vision correction and is a frequent lecturer and author on the topic.



Dr. Kung frequently serves as a consultant to major ophthalmic and pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Allergan, Alcon and Pharmacia. He also holds the patent on a surgical instrument, which bears his name, used in performing vision correction procedures.



Founded in 1986, Campus Eye Group is comprised of a professional staff of T.P.A. certified optometrists and board certified ophthalmologists who deliver the high quality of eye care, innovative medical/surgical care and comprehensive optical services. The Campus Eye Group Ambulatory Surgical Center is located next door to Campus Eye Group, in the Hamilton Office Campus. The freestanding ambulatory surgery center is approved by the State Of New Jersey Department Of Health and is Medicare certified.
