John Kung, MD, a highly respected New Jersey-based ophthalmologist, has joined Campus Eye Group, a multi-specialty interdisciplinary eye care practice in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Dr. Kung serves as the medical director of the Academic Eye Center in New Jersey and Staten Island Ophthalmology in New York. He has performed thousands of LASIK laser vision correction
procedures since the surgery was first FDA-approved, and has taught the procedure to new doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, NY.
Dr. Kung is certified on multiple laser platforms including the NASA-certified LADARVision system available at Campus Eye Group.
Board-certified in Ophthalmology and certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Kung specializes in corneal refractive surgery. He is well known for his research in the
field of laser vision correction and is a frequent lecturer and author on the topic.
Dr. Kung frequently serves as a consultant to major ophthalmic and pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Allergan, Alcon and Pharmacia. He also holds the patent on a surgical
instrument, which bears his name, used in performing vision correction procedures.
