lls4.jpg( SURGE ON LEUKEMIA ) Leukemia is the general name for four different types of blood cancers. The ways that individuals with leukemia are affected and treated and the rate at which the disease progresses, are different with each type of leukemia.

The terms lymphocytic or lymphoblastic indicate that the cancerous change takes place in a type of marrow cell that forms lymphocytes. The terms myelogenous or myeloid indicate that the cell change takes place in a type of marrow cell that normally goes on to form red cells, some types of white cells, and platelets.

Acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute myelogenous leukemia are each composed of blast cells, known as lymphoblasts or myeloblasts. Acute leukemias progress rapidly without treatment.

Chronic leukemias have few or no blast cells. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and chronic myelogenous leukemia usually progress slowly compared to acute leukemias.

Starting off the Fund drive by throwing $300,000 of his own money into the cause, Rush Limbaugh was challenged by a listener to raise it to $400,000 and the listener would match the donation.   DONE was simply all he said.

$800,000 raised in 15 minutes.   Millions more are needed and just few dollars from our readers would help this cause.  For Rush to not only donate his air time but his own wealth should be admired by all.

Only its not while I was listening to show in a public area I heard a comment and its agreement by others " I would never contribute to anything that man is involved in."

Leukemia doesn't strike people along party lines or ideology. This hateful statement that I overheard lead me to post this article in hopes that some of my readers can pick up the slack.

Conservatives donate on average 30% more each year to charities than Liberals, that gap needs to close for anyone to ever believe a liberal politician "cares" about anything.   Don't let your hatred along party lines punish the innocent. Trust me your point is being made wrongfully if you don't give until and maybe because it hurts.

Because of the misguided and hateful statement that I overheard I am challenging the online community to out perform the radio community.
