The Barker's Dozen dogs (and one cat) were photographed and captioned by Rich Stone, an American Airlines Captain and former F-14 pilot. His sister Viveca Stone-Berry, a volunteer at her local animal shelter, is charged with spreading the word about the fundraiser and the importance of putting friendship first.

"We need a touchy-feely opportunity to focus on recharging our relationships - a way to make new friends and keep the old," states Stone-Berry. Research published by a plethora of sources shows:
