April 25, 2005 -- Recognizing the first step in protecting kids from harm is for parents to familiarize themselves with the threats against their children, the Prevent Delinquency Project
rolled out Child Threat(SM), a never-before offered free intelligence service for parents. In just two short weeks since Child Threat(SM) has been operational, tips have already been
received from a police chief, seasoned narcotics detective, private investigator who heads his state's association, a school counselor, and parents as far away as Alaska.
Child Threat(SM) is a place to learn what's really out there that can hurt your kids. From paraphernalia associated with methamphetamine, heroin or cocaine use, to gang insignia, Internet
concerns, or the latest weapons to be found in schools, as soon as we know, so will you.
Parents, teachers and law enforcement professionals are all welcome to participate. Every tip, no matter how seemingly benign will be considered. There's a war out there against the
threats to our children and Child Threat(SM) aims to win it. If you are ready to fight for your kids and start learning, please visit www.childthreat.org or www.preventdelinquency.org
