SiiBER Marketing, Inc. a Mentor, Ohio based e-commerce and direct marketing firm, sponsors "Team SiiBER" for the annual Ohio MS150 "Pedal to the Point" bike tour, Aug. 20-21, 2005.
"We are pleased to sponsor this bike team and contribute to this event for MS [multiple sclerosis]", says Peter Roesner, SiiBER President and CEO. "Eileen Schmidt, captain of the 7-person
Mentor, Ohio based team approached SiiBER to sponsor the group - and SiiBER is excited to participate in this way."
"The feeling of riding across the finish and seeing the faces of the people we are riding for makes it a fantastic and rewarding experience," says team captain Schmidt.
On Aug. 20-21 more than 2,000 people will be pedaling for a purpose, including the 7-person Mentor, Ohio based team.
Team SiiBER will be pedaling to raise awareness and to raise funds to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis in the 19th annual MS 150 "Pedal to the Point" Bike tour.
For almost two decades, thousands of cyclists have made their way from the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea to the gates of Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky in support of the MS
cause.
Multiple route options (30, 75, 100 and 150) exist for all riders-at all age, experience and ability levels. The MS 150 "Pedal to the Point" Bike Tour, long considered the leading charity
bike tour in Ohio, is fully supported with frequent rest stops, an abundance of food, medical and mechanical support, and dedicated volunteers and staff.
Cyclists riding for two days and collecting a minimum of $200 in pledges are rewarded with a ticket to Cedar Point or Soak City upon their arrival in Sandusky.
The goal of the 2005 Bike Tour is to beat the record set in 2004, when 1,800 cyclists raised $1 million.
Since the tour began nearly 20 years ago, 21,000 cyclists have collected more than $9 million for the MS cause. All the proceeds help to fund MS-related research efforts and to provide
quality-of-life MS programs and services.
