The Parrish Law Firm Announces Grant of Scholarship Programs to Northern...



The Parrish Law Firm (http://personalinjury.theparrishlawfirm.com) and traffic defense trial law firms, recently demonstrated its commitment to the higher education of local Prince William County students by establishing annual scholarship programs at Osbourn High School and Osbourn Park High Schools, both of which are located in Manassas, Virginia. In order to be considered for an award, students with plans to attend college and pursue community service careers were required to submit applications that included not only outstanding academic achievements, but also civic accomplishments.



Following the students' submissions, the applications underwent a thorough review using criteria established by the Parrish Law Firm in conjunction with the guidance counselors of the Prince William County, VA and Manassas City School systems. Ultimately, the scholarships were granted to Tandeep Singh and Samantha E. Jones of Osbourn and Osbourn Park High Schools, respectively. Upon receiving word of their scholarships, both students expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation in letters to the Parrish Law Firm, which reiterated their desires to excel in their chosen areas of education.



As further evidence of the his pledge to education, James R. Parrish, the principal and founding attorney of the Parrish Law Firm, also continued his annual donation to his alma mater, the esteemed University of Virginia School of Law, in an effort to improve the opportunities available to students during and after their academic careers.



"Devotion to education and community, coupled with meaningful action, is more than just a desire of the professionals at the Firm. We consider it a top priority and duty, which we happily accept and fulfill," stated James Parrish. "In 2008, we hope to expand the scholarship program to at least one more Manassas/Prince William County High School, as well as to provide other volunteer services to area children."
