Wise Woman Center in Woodstock NY Offers Chance to Earn Credit While...

April 15, 2005 -- Every year the ever-active Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY, has work exchange weekends for those wanting to come and learn while conserving cash. This herbal and woman-empowering teaching center is also a working farm with many opportunities to learn and earn credit towards future classes. This year, a new opportunity is being offered as well - the work/learn day!



For work exchange weekends, participants begin at 10 am with a talking stick ceremony, then work indoors and outdoors in gardens, barn, office, kitchen, and grounds. Join the other women and men for one day or the whole weekend. A delicious vegetarian lunch is the "thank you" for your help, plus, you receive a credit card good toward classes, dinner, an overnight stay, or any of Ash Tree Publishing's books or tapes.



The new work/learn days combine both the work and the learning into one full day. They too start at 10am with talking stick ceremony. Then proceed to 3-4 hours of work followed by a light lunch. After lunch, work is through, and you can enjoy a short herbal class with Susun Weed. There is no fee!



The remaining dates for the 2005 work exchange weekends are April 16-17, May 28-29-30, November 5-6, and November 19-20. The work/learn days this year are held April 24, May 22, May 30, July 2-3, July 30-31, and October 16. Please let us know in advance if you plan to come.
