21st Annual Victorian Streetwalk in Downtown Saratoga Springs A Time...



Each year, the Thursday after Thanksgiving in Saratoga Springs, NY marks an evening of festive tradition as the community celebrates the downtown Saratoga Springs Victorian Streetwalk (http://saratoga.com) offers some background on this popular event and a sneak preview into what's in store for this year.





"This is my twenty-first year as the Victorian Streetwalk Coordinator," said Susan L. Farnsworth of the Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association. "Our goal is to say 'Thank You' to everyone who supports us year round and to give the local families a tradition that is unique to Saratoga Springs' life."



During this annual holiday tradition, carolers stroll the streets, dressed head to toe in Victorian-era garb, singing Christmas carols and spreading holiday cheer. Entertainers perform inside local boutiques, restaurants and other venues before heading to the streets with their magic acts, musical performances and more. Santa and Mrs. Claus show up for the festivities as well, accompanied by their real-live reindeer. Farnsworth says there is something for everyone.
