Vancouver Digital Media Company CineClix Distribution Selected as One of 10 Finalists in the Telus New Ventures BC Competition



Vancouver digital media company CineClix Distribution has been selected as one of 10 finalists in the Telus New Ventures BC Competition.

This dramatic competition has seen 115 companies be whittled down to 10, in a range of technology areas. What they all hold in common: the potential to grow - and grow quickly.

CineClix provides a unique personalized video recommendation engine capable of recommending films that suit your individual taste. With the rise of cable, DVDs and TiVo new technologies are changing. Choice is finally on its way - but could it be too much choice How do you find what you want to watch amongst 31 million hours of television programming or the thousands of films created by Hollywood and Independent artists every year CineClix has the answer and it is all online.    

When you're in the mood for a film that will make you laugh, CineClix software finds the film that fits your mood, culture, values and interests. "Film makers and viewers 'tag' the content with information so our database becomes not just a search for a comedy but a search for what other people of a similar age, ethnicity or interest group have recommended and why," explains Margo Langford, Co-founder of CineClix.
