International Haute Couture Comes To The Bay Area

On Friday, October 21, 2005, San Francisco International Fashion Week (SFIFW) will debut at Fort Mason on the waterfront. SFIFW wil feature exclusive presentations showcasing some of Spring 2006 Pret-a-Porter collections from designers that have come together from 5 countries. The weekend-long event, scheduled to end on Sunday, October 23, 2005 will feature receptions hosted by Black Book Magazine and designer Lloyd Klein, workshops on fashion publishing and fashion styling with Melissa Maynard of Factio Magazine, and uber-agent Crystal Wright of the Crystal Agency, and will conclude with the "Rock in Fashion Concert" at Ruby Skye.



Designers whose collections will be shown include: Afshin Feiz (FR), Isabelle Ballu (FR), Gaspard Yurkiviech (FR), Shantanu & Nikhil (IN),

Payal Jain (IN), Malini Ramani, Manish Arora(IN), Rajo Laurel (PH), Lloyd Klein (US), Cari Borja (US), Joseph Domingo (US), Black Coffee

(SAF), PAUL MUNROE (SAF), Sebastian Meunier (FR), Pierre Henri Mattout (FR), and Oleg Cassini (US). All shows and scheduled events, with the

exception of the closing event, will be held either at the Fort Mason complex, or aboard a Hornblower yacht. Ticket information and purchases
