Washington, D.C. December 23, 2008 -- Celebrate the launch and cocktail premiere of the Little Black Dress Club!
Friday, January 30, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM: The Little Black Dress Club (http://www.lbdclub.com) and Eyebar invite women to the launch party
celebrating the premiere of the women'ss social networking club, based in Washington, D.C. The event will feature $5 glasses of Chandon Champagne and $7 Little Black Dress Cocktails
(Champagne, Chambord, and Cr's232;me de Cacao), courtesy of Moet 's38; Chandon. The Little Black Dress Club was named for the wardrobe staple because the club, like the dress, is whatever
you need it to be, said CEO Christine Zellers. We attract women of all types. Some of us are divers, skiers, rock climbers, others of us are fashionistas and love going out for nice
dinners and happy hours.
The club is an easy way for women to get connected to one another for advice, camaraderie, or for the purposes of going out or taking a trip. It [The Club creates a community of women. We
want to create a situation where women can easily find other women with whom to have fun, Zellers said. The Club'ss members are in a variety of life stages -- single, new in town and
looking to socialize, married and wanting to get out of the house for a girls's night out, and everything in between. The group allows members to create their own events so they can tap
into a network of women and make new friends. Additionally, women can come online and discuss women'ss issues such as men, dating, dieting, and travel. On the site, women can create
events so if they'sve found a cooking class they want to take and are looking for someone to go along, they can post the event and find someone.
The website intends to make communication between members faster and easier, as well as provide information about different events for women in the area. The club is very diverse in its
activities which range from inexpensive happy hours, to celebrating Restaurant Week, to promoting women'ss charities, to adventure travel.
