Boutique guitar distributor, Private Reserve Guitars, announced the arrival of Taylor Guitar's new "16ce" Grand Symphony acoustic guitars that were launched earlier this year. This new Taylor style expands on their acoustic Grand Symphony models with a Venetian cutaway--which allows full upper-fret access--as well as the custom Expression System pickup. The ES pickup was created in partnership with audio pioneer Rupert Neve. It's designed to faithfully reproduce the Taylor guitar's native tone for an impressive plugged-in performance.
Woods and appointments distinguish each of the "16ce" models carried by Private Reserve Guitars. Among the selection, shoppers will find the following four guitars:
The Taylor 816ce Grand Symphony Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (http://www.privatereserveguitars.com/Taylor-800-Series-816ce-Grand-Symphony-Cutaway-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar-516484-i1394762.guitars)
features a classic Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides that combine to produce clarity, balance, sustain, and excellent bass response. The Taylor 816ce Grand Symphony is
adorned with mother-of-pearl 800-series fingerboard inlays, maple binding, and an abalone rosette. The ultraviolet finish enables maximum durability and is more environmentally friendly
than traditional lacquer finishes.
From the Koa Series, the Taylor K16ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (http://www.privatereserveguitars.com/Taylor-Koa-Series-K16ce-Grand-Symphony-Cutaway-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar-516487-i1394765.guitars)
features a Sitka spruce top and Hawaiian koa back and sides. It has gold-plated hardware, an abalone rosette, maple binding, and koa-series "outline" fingerboard inlays. The K16ce guitar
features the same durable ultraviolet finish found on the 816ce model.
Also from the Koa series, the 6-String Taylor K26ce Grand Symphony Acoustic-Electric Guitar (http://www.privatereserveguitars.com/Taylor-Koa-Series-K26ce-Grand-Symphony-Cutaway-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar-516488-i1394766.guitars)
and the 12-String Taylor K66c Grand Symphony Acoustic-Electric Guitar (http://www.privatereserveguitars.com/Taylor-Koa-Series-K66ce-Grand-Symphony-12-String-Cutaway-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar-516489-i1394767.guitars)
feature vivid koa grain patterns on the top, back and sides that are accented by abalone trim around the top and soundhole. Figured maple binds the body, fingerboard, soundhole, and
peghead and caps the heel. Like other "16ce" models, the K26ce and K66ce have a wider lower bout and higher, wider waist for more volume and low-end sustain.
