Unprecedented numbers show up for FirefoxIEnet Newswire Launch

With the launch of FirefoxIE Newswire along with FirefoxIE, the website saw

unprecedented numbers of users accessing at the same time. There were so many

users that many people waited for hours trying to get their own copy of the

pre built and customized Firefox browser. It actually crashed the web host's

system.

browser without further problems. The processing for the newswire is now being

done on a separate server.

FirefoxIE Newswire now looks and behaves the same both in Internet Explorer and

FirefoxIE. This is the FirefoxIE claim to fame, producing identical content on

scrolling" that Firefox is famous for, has been eliminated.

from 17MB down to 10.4MB without losing functionality. FirefoxIE now displays
