WPD Announces 2008 Professional Creative Wedding Photography Contest
The previous WPD Annual Wedding Photography Contest (http://www.weddingphotographydirectory.com/wedding-photo/contest/2008/contest-winners.aspx) has received over 2,500 wedding photo . Over 75,000 votes were analyzed to determine the winning selections. The WPD would like to thank the wedding photo graphy community; your support has enabled the contest to thrive and evolve into a great success.
In addition to the top three prize winners, the WPD is introducing the Public Critique Commentator Award for the very first time. The nature of the WPD wedding photo contest's public critique is to elevate the contestant's level of creativity via honest and constructive open feedback. This award will be given to the individual that provides the best and insightful critique.
Contest Awards:
Grand Prize: $1,000 Grand Prize - The grand prize winner will receive $1,000.
Second Place Winner: Gateway 24" Widescreen LCD HD Monitor - This incredible monitor features: 1080p HD Support, DCDi by Faroudja video processing, 1000:1 Contrast ratio, 3MS response time, and 1900x1200 Resolution.
Third Place Winner: Apple TV - Watch videos on the big screen. Free your wedding photo s from the web and see them on your wide screen TV.
Public Critique Commentator Award: - The winner will have a selection of Adobe Photoshop plug-ins to choose from the following photography software vendors: onOne, Extensis, Alien Skin, and Zevrix.

- 7/16/2008 to 7/25/2008 - Initial WPD pre-qualification selection.
- 7/26/2008 to 9/26/2008 - Contest wedding photo s open for public voting and critique.
- 10/15/2008 - Public voting data is analyzed, and winners are announced.
