Laga Designs International Having Special Event to Help Tsunami Victims...

As other disasters happened after the tsunami hit the Aceh province of Sumatra, Indonesia, the world has turned to other news and the Acehnese have almost been forgotten.

Roy & Louise van Broekhuizen, owners of Laga Designs International, are continuing the efforts to help the Acehnese rebuild not only their homes, buildings, infrastructure, and most of all, a hope for a new future.

Laga was formed with the purpose of providing employment and income for those who lost their livelihood as a result of the tsunami disaster. By hiring and training local victims, we endeavor to help restore their economy through micro enterprise.

All Laga handbags are handmade by the local island people of Indonesia. Our hope is that the memory of what happened to them on December 26, 2004 will remain in the hearts of those around the world so that work to rebuild their lives will go on.

Laga offers two distinct styles of handbag, one very different from the other, yet each is made with exceptional quality. No two bags are exactly alike, making our line of handbags delightfully distinctive, and truly elite.
