Matt Wilson and Matt Arnold Present Aligning Metrics with Business Goals at IIBA



Evantage Consulting, a Minneapolis-based leader in cross-discipline consulting for successful e-business initiatives, presents Aligning Metrics with Business Goals: How business analysts can help define, manage and communicate online metrics to achieve strategic goals. The event takes place today at 6:30 p.m. as part of the International Institute of Business Analysis Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter meeting at The Park Plaza Hotel in Bloomington.

The presentation will focus on using web metrics and analytics to effectively drive change.

"A lot of companies invest heavily in web analytics tools and then don't realize the benefits," explains Matt Arnold, a senior business consultant for Evantage Consulting and one of the presenters at tonight's event. "Metrics can be overwhelming, and it's not always clear how to tie the numbers back to business goals. The key is translating metrics into actionable tasks that will help you reach your objectives."

Arnold, an experienced business analyst who has led technology implementations and other projects, is joined by Matt Wilson, lead online marketing consultant for Evantage Consulting. By presenting together, Arnold and Wilson want business analysts to understand how important it is to work side-by-side with marketers. They'll show how this collaboration can start small and deliver quick "wins" that can be built into bigger and broader business solutions.

"A critical part of successful analytics is making sure you can communicate the data in context to the correct audiences," says Wilson.
