"We've been very gratified so far by the reaction of our customers and the general public to our new name and logo," said Garry Fisher, the company's founder and Chief Executive Officer. "As we grew and established ourselves in the marketplace, we began to realize that we needed a company name and a logo that would do a better job of conveying to the public who we are, what makes us special, and why they should shop with us."
According to Fisher, the name The Hoursmith, along with the company's new logo, was created to invoke the same sense of quality, integrity, value, and highly personalized service associated with a skilled blacksmith or swordsmith. "We're family owned and operated, so we deal personally with all of our customers," Fisher said. "That image of the fine craftsman who is committed to providing top-notch quality and the best service possible to every single one of his customers perfectly represents who we strive to be, and is exactly the image we want to convey."
As part of the name change, the company has also changed its website address to www.Hoursmith.com. "But just in case someone hasn't gotten the word, they can still reach us through our old website address, www.HeritageWatchCompany.com for the time being," stated Fisher.
