A1Classifieds Helps Startup Internet Marketers Beat High Listing Prices
January 26, 2005 -- By allowing internet entrepreneurs to list up to twenty continuous auction style classified ads, Globalbytes lowers
the cost of selling for start up online businesses. Registered sellers cannot only auction items, but are also permitted to link their own websites within an auction ad.
According to Globalbytes' President, Paul Nieto, "Listing costs and closing costs, at many sites, are eating away startup businesses. New entrepreneurs are often surprised when they total the listing price, the closing price, and the payment transaction fees. These fees can actually mean the difference between profit and loss on a startup. Merchants staying in the black are often reduced to less than minimum wage profits as a result of these incidental costs. The online competition is fierce."
Many of the large auction sites seem pre-occupied with making sure the transaction only occurs within their control. That assures them of every possible penny of profit potential. The penalties for revealing a seller's link to a customer often results in the suspension of the seller's account. A1Classifieds by Globalbytes allows seller links. "It is their ad, they should have the right," says Paul Nieto of Globalbytes. "Sellers are getting pretty tired of all the rules." A1Calssifieds is selling venue only and does not handle money transactions between the buyer and the seller. The auctions run much like in the classified ads of a newspaper. If a seller chooses, he can sign up to list thirty-five or fifty ads at just a fraction of
the cost charged by bigger auctions.
