Overstock.com Blockbuster, and Lucent during the entire day of Saturday, September 16th, 2006, and analyzed the data to compile the following results in order of best QoS to worse,
precluded by an overall summary as follows;
Through complex analysis, Busi-Bee.com (http://www.busi-bee.com/) has found that Apple Computer provided the best overall quality of service (QoS)
to their end users with a ranking of 100.000%, while Lucent had the lowest ranking relative to the companies referenced in this study with 92.950%
Apple Computer has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 7pm with
minimum and average latencies of 0.046047 and 0.179746 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 4am with latencies of 5.370215 and 0.279796 seconds. The average latency for the day
is about 0.208 with a mean latency of 0.071 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.
Akamai has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 10pm with minimum
and average latencies of 0.019416 and 0.238297 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 12pm with latencies of 4.443163 and 0.353741 seconds. The average latency for the day is
about 0.292 with a mean latency of 0.081 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.
Google has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 6am with minimum
and average latencies of 0.044814 and 0.240521 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 6am with latencies of 5.076505 and 0.240521 seconds. The average latency for the day is about
0.161 with a mean latency of 0.060 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.
Overstock.com has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 99.478%. The best response hour was at 11pm with
minimum and average latencies of 0.080388 and 0.525590 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 4pm with latencies of 209.513976 (we consider this unreachable) and 4.927834 seconds.
The average latency for the day is about 1.223 with a mean latency of 3.818 seconds, we consider this bad site delivery consistency for the day. This is usually the result of some server
down time within the day.
Blockbuster has provided their site users with what we deem as pretty good quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 96.693%. The best response hour was at 4am with
minimum and average latencies of 0.075895 and 2.121063 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 5am with latencies of 120.251157 (we consider this unreachable) and 2.915677 seconds.
