Through complex analysis, Busi-Bee.com (http://www.busi-bee.com/) has found that Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI) provided the best overall quality of service (QoS) to their end users with a ranking of 100.000%, while Akamai (NASDAQ: AKAM) had the lowest ranking relative to the companies referenced in this study with 98.229%


San Diego, CA September 8, 2006 -- For this report made on Thursday, September 7th, 2006, Busi-Bee.com took 13575 samples from the websites of Blockbuster, Level 3 Communications, M-Wave, Best Buy, Overstock.com and Akamai during the entire day of Wednesday, September 6th, 2006, and analyzed the data to compile the following results in order of best QoS to worse, precluded by an overall summary as follows;



Through complex analysis, Busi-Bee.com (http://www.busi-bee.com/) has found that Blockbuster provided the best overall quality of service (QoS) to their end users with a ranking of 100.000%, while Akamai had the lowest ranking relative to the companies referenced in this study with 98.229%



Blockbuster has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 10am with minimum and average latencies of 0.060089 and 0.213117 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 2am with latencies of 5.114633 and 0.259321 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 0.191 with a mean latency of 0.107 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.



Level 3 Communications has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 4am with minimum and average latencies of 0.080584 and 0.173682 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 6pm with latencies of 5.899405 and 0.339118 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 0.206 with a mean latency of 0.136 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.



M-Wave has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 100.000%. The best response hour was at 2am with minimum and average latencies of 0.080186 and 0.252444 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 6pm with latencies of 5.801091 and 0.430423 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 0.246 with a mean latency of 0.146 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.



Best Buy has provided their site users with what we deem as excellent quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 99.058%. The best response hour was at 8am with minimum and average latencies of 0.003863 and 0.362312 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 9pm with latencies of 9.419355 and 0.775564 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 0.431 with a mean latency of 0.234 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.



Overstock.com has provided their site users with what we deem as very good quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 98.941%. The best response hour was at 4pm with minimum and average latencies of 0.080186 and 0.681998 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 2am with latencies of 198.831312 (we consider this unreachable) and 11.167167 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 2.214 with a mean latency of 5.326 seconds, we consider this bad site delivery consistency for the day. This is usually the result of some server down time within the day.



Akamai has provided their site users with what we deem as very good quality of service yesterday, with an overall QoS ranking of 98.229%. The best response hour was at 11pm with minimum and average latencies of 0.018301 and 0.659772 seconds respectively, and the worse hour being 2pm with latencies of 30.114517 (we consider this unreachable) and 1.094959 seconds. The average latency for the day is about 0.601 with a mean latency of 0.630 seconds, we consider this excellent site delivery consistency for the day.
