CitizenHawk (http://www.citizenhawk.com/solutions/brands.html) solutions, today announced that Bill Demas, former SVP and GM of Yahoo! Publisher Network Group, has joined the CitizenHawk Board of Directors. Demas brings more than fifteen years of technology and Internet media experience to CitizenHawk and is currently President and CEO of moka5, a company that develops and markets virtual computing services for consumers and small-to-medium sized businesses.
Prior to joining moka5, Demas was SVP and GM of the Yahoo! Publisher Network Group. Demas joined Yahoo! following the company's 2003 acquisition of Overture, where Bill helped lead the
company to distribution and publisher revenues of $1 billion. Following the acquisition, Demas led the Yahoo! Publisher Network Group to more than double its revenues through 2006 as
Demas and his team built hundreds of exclusive distribution relationships with major Internet sites and publishers of all sizes. In his four and a half years at Overture and Yahoo!, Demas
initiated and oversaw Yahoo!'s Domain Match and Yahoo! Publisher Network product and business lines.
Previously, Demas served as Executive Vice President, Product Development and Marketing for Vividence Corporation (acquired by Keynote) and during his six years with Microsoft, he held a
variety of prominent consumer product and enterprise business roles spanning from Encarta Encyclopedia to SQL Server. Prior to that, Demas spent four years in sales with IBM.
Demas currently also serves on the board of Turn and the advisory board of Digital Performance. Bill earned an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business and bachelor degrees in
Computer Science and Organizational Behavior & Management from Brown University.
"CitizenHawk is solving a problem that has existed for a long time but no one has been able to effectively address," said Bill Demas. "I joined CitizenHawk's Board because the company is
out to make the web safer and more transparent, and I am eager to work with the team to achieve these goals."
"Bill Demas is an important addition to our board," said Graham MacRobie, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of CitizenHawk. "Bill not only brings extensive domain
expertise to CitizenHawk, but also adds significant business development experience to the company. We look forward to working with Bill to help us take CitizenHawk to the next level."
