Plumbworld Recruit New ECommerce Manager

Plumbworld are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Morris to the position of E-Commerce Manager

Scott previously worked in the e-tail sector, and over the last 6 years has gained a wealth of experience in online marketing, and shopping comparison marketing working in partnership with huge household names such as Hewlett-Packard and Samsung.

Scott previously worked for DIGIUK for six years and was responsible for online marketing of new products, and the re-marketing of refurbished products where he gained the marketing support of HP and Samsung and turned the online company into an HP Partner and a Samsung Solution Centre, the first in the UK at the time. During his time with DIGIUK Scott was instrumental in doubling the site traffic and reducing the bounce rates significantly, this increasing the time customers spent on the site, and of course increasing the order intake.

James Hickman, Managing Director of Plumbworld said: We are very pleased to have someone with Scott'ss skills and track record joining the Plumbworld team. Our success is determined by how we market our products effectively in the online market. Scott has a proven track record in delivering impressive results. We are moving further into the Shopping Comparison Market for bathroom (http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/1-0000) products. We believe that Scott has the skills and experience to deliver this objective.

Scott said: 'sThe Internet is clearly the future of retail. You only have to look the record breaking level of spends from households and the fact that online advertising has become bigger than press advertising to realise it is happening here and now. Plumbworld is an incredibly dynamic and market focused business. New products are launched in an instant and it will be my job to ensure that we market those products effectively and on the correct medium.

Plumbworld is based in Evesham, Worcestershire and now employs 50 staff within their 2,000 sqm, purpose built warehouse and offices. The company had a turnover in 2008 in excess of 's163;18 Million from the sale of bathroom suites (http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/12-0000), showers (http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/53-0000) and plumbing supplies (http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/5-0000). Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman who sold the business to The Grafton Group Plc in December 2006.
