Quigo Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of online marketing technologies, today announced the addition of Marty Abbott and Michael Fisher to its senior management team. In his role
as COO, Mr. Abbott will oversee Quigo's production, client services, engineering and product development departments. As CIO and VP of IT, Mr. Fisher will spearhead Quigo's technical
project management, quality assurance and IT departments.
Marty Abbott
Mr. Abbott brings to Quigo extensive experience in technology operations, excels in the area of strategic development, and will work to further strengthen Quigo's place as an emerging
leader in the auction-based advertising marketplace. "As Quigo's COO, Marty brings a new level of organization and skills to the table, along with a strong desire to win," said Michael
Yavonditte, CEO. "His management skills and his ability to get results are real assets, and will reinforce and cement our position as a leader in the online marketing industry."
Prior to joining Quigo, Mr. Abbott was the senior vice president of technology and CTO in charge of the daily technical and site-specific operational overview of eBay and all of its
subsidiaries. During his seven years at the company, his responsibilities included ensuring the daily availability and operational excellence of the eBay site, evaluation and deployment
of new infrastructure technologies, and the development of strategic relationships with key technology vendors.
Prior to joining eBay in 1999, Abbott held operational and engineering positions at Gateway and Motorola. Abbott attended the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York where
he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Michael Fisher
Mr. Fisher joins Quigo after having served as Vice President, Engineering & Architecture for PayPal, an eBay company.He was responsible for all aspects of the 220 person organization
including recruiting, training, delivery, architecture, strategic vision, and a $35 million budget for an online financial institution servicing 71 million users.Mr. Yavonditte added, "As
Quigo grows, so too must our infrastructure and ability to service thousands of customers simultaneously. Taking into account his experience at PayPal, we couldn't have done better than
to add Michael during this period of rapid growth and development."
Prior to joining PayPal, Mr. Fisher spent seven years at General Electric helping to develop the company's technology strategy and processes. As Executive Manager, Mr. Fisher was
responsible for 15 analysts, 35 developers, and $10 million budget, and developed the strategy and executed on integrating acquisitions in Mexico, Europe, and the United States.
Mr. Fisher served as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1990-1996.He attended the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Computer Science. He also holds a PhD in Information Systems from Kennedy-Western University.
