High Resolution Instrumentation Expands Capabilities

May 7, 2005 -- Chemir Analytical Services now has twice the capabilities for materials characterization, with the addition of a 500 MHz NMR Spectrometer. Providing higher resolution for structural elucidation, characterization and method development/validation studies, this high-field NMR complements Chemir's standard 270 MHz capabilities.

"Now we can perform true multi-dimensional experiments for structural elucidation, in a wide variety of characterization investigations", explains David Dowell, Ph.D., Vice President - Technology, Chemir Analytical Services. "This expands our ability to identify proteins and enzymes for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, as well as examine compounds in polymers, coatings and other materials."
