Cytonix Corp. announced today the availability of its new line of FluorN environmentally friendly, PFOA, PFOS, C8 free fluorosurfactant wetting and leveling agents. FluorN fluorosurfactants are an alternative technology to the traditional perfluoroalkyl C4 to C8 chemistry used in a wide variety of consumer and industrial applications. FluorN perfluoropolyether (PFPE) fluorosurfactants improve the surface properties of resins, plastics, solvents and coatings more effectively than organic or silicone surfactants.

The FluorN PFPE fluorosurfactants have extraordinary chemical activity. FluorN 2900 is 10X to 100X more active than PFOS-based fluorosurfactants such as 3M Fluorad FC-430. At concentrations of 0.0005 to 0.5 percent, the FluorN PFPE fluorosurfactants have good leveling and wetting activity in resists, electrolytic baths, floor polish emulsions, inks, soldering systems, and most acrylic, epoxy and urethane coatings, adding lubricity and hydrophobicity to many cured products. The PFPE and other FluorN products also include fluorosurfactants with epoxy, hydroxy, acrylate and isocyanate functionality.
